Super Healthy&Yummy Snack Bar

(No sugar & Raw food but very easy to make)


Yay, finally it is spring! Blooms on the street, warm wind and the excitement of summer break looming. Today I would like to introduce a perfect healthy snack, which I make for my family. It is perfect as a spring/summer snack. Made out of all the good stuff and it only takes 5 mins to prepare. Try this instead of sugary cookies~.


Ingredients (make 8~12 bars)

  • 2 cups of rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup of raw almond (chopped or sliced almonds)

  • 1/2 cup of raw pumpkin seeds

  • 1/2 cup of raw sunflower seeds

  • 1 cup of dried dates

  • 1/4 cup of *psyllium husk

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1 tsp of olive oil to brush around oven tray.

You can add any seeds and nuts - sometimes I add chia seeds and walnuts. If you have weak teeth, add almond meal instead of almond or nuts.


*What is Psyllium Husk? Psyllium is a form of fibre made from the husks of the Plantago Ovata plant seeds. It’s most commonly known as a laxative. However, research shows that taking psyllium is beneficial to many parts of the human body, including the heart and the pancreas.


1. put all dry ingredients in the big bowl and mix well.

2. add water into the bowl and mix well - you will see it becomes pasty.













3. Brush the oil around a shallow oven tray and put the mixture in the tray (evenly spread and push down gently).













4. You can cover it with wrap and put in the fridge overnight to set, or you can bake it (more like drying process) under 70-degree in the oven for 30 mins. You can cut them muesli bar shape and keep them in the fridge.

This is perfect with a cup of coffee or tea - seriously good for you! :)
