Guide for the correct posture when you walk with your walker
I have been talking with Naomi (well-able manager in Kapiti).
She said many people use their walkers/walking frames like supermarket carts. The handle height is too high, their back is bent and they are pushing the frame too far forward of their body. Walkers and walking frames are meant to walk with you and support your balance. So stand in front of the walkers/walking frames with a straight back and drop your arms down. Your wrist height is about the right handle height. Depending on your comfort, you can bend your arms a bit, but remember your back should be straight.
Good standing posture makes look young and healthy.
